Have you ever wondered what Hiroshima looked like before the atomic bomb? Barack Obama was the first US president to visit the city on May 27th, 71 years after it was destroyed by the first atomic weapon ever used in warfare.
He toured the city with Japan’s prime Minister Shinzo Abe. He paid tribute to the victims (a speech not to miss).
A good deal of archive images have been published on that website, allowing the public to discover pre and post-war images of Hiroshima.
